Ingredients

A dissolving oral film is not a capsule with a different shape. It is a thin sheet of pullulan that weighs a few hundred milligrams in total, and only part of that weight can be active ingredient. That single physical limit decides everything we are able to sell.

The number that governs the range

Our sleep strip weighs 210 mg. Of that, 91 mg is active ingredient: 50 mg valerian root extract, 20 mg lavender extract, 10 mg chamomile extract, 10 mg hibiscus extract and 1 mg melatonin. Every strip we make sits in roughly that budget.

What fits, and what does not

Ninety milligrams is generous for melatonin, which works at 1 mg. It is comfortable for caffeine at 50 mg, and for B12, which is measured in micrograms. It is enough for iron at 19 mg.

It is nowhere near enough for collagen, which needs somewhere between 2,500 and 10,000 mg to do anything at all. It is not enough for magnesium at 300 mg, and it is not enough for the fibre-based ingredients sold for appetite control, which are dosed in grams.

So we do not sell a collagen strip. We could print the word on a tin and charge for it, and the tin would contain a rounding error. If you see one for sale, check the supplement facts panel before you buy it.

How to read our labels

Every product page shows the full supplement facts panel: serving size, every active ingredient with its amount, and the other ingredients that make up the film. Nothing is hidden behind a proprietary blend. Every batch is tested by a third-party lab, and you can ask us for the certificate of analysis for the batch you received.
